Day 9 - We loaded Dave's bike onto the bus, after negotiating with the bus driver an acceptable price. It was a bit of an ordeal that involved removing a couple of the seats. The bus then set off with David, his bike, and a few passengers to Oudom Xai. There was a brief stop for lunch and some fuel, followed by the long journey to Luang Prabang. The bus took about 12 hours, including a brief stop to change a blown tyre. Chris did the same trip in about 9 hours, in some pretty terrible weather. It was raining most of the day. These roads are very curvey and hilly, with a lot of unsealed sections. The views are amazing. Parked the bike at the bus station, and paid an attendant 2000 kip, to leave it there overnight. Got picked up from the bus station by the Grand Luang Prabang's shuttle bus.
