Day 2 - We started the day heading back up Doi Inthanon and got a few photos from the highest point in Thailand before we headed back down the other side of the mountain towards Khun Yuam approx 120kms from Doi Inthanon. This took us some time as in parts the road between the two ended up turning into a tiny dirt track for a good portion of it which proved some challenging riding for us relatively inexperienced off road riders, nevertheless an amazing amount of fun :) After this we were getting a bit low on petrol so decided to seek out a Drum of Petrol hand pumped for us by a lovely chap who we ended up stopping to have a chat with, FYI if you need to ask for petrol, say "Nung Maan" not sure if thats how its spelt if you are after 91 Octane say ""Kao Nuu" following which apparently translates to Petrol 91 :) With a full tank of gas it was full speed ahead to Mae Hong Son for our second nights stay. Along the way were larger paved roads but some fun twists and switchbacks on the way. Finally arrived at Mae Hong Son where we stayed at the Imperial Mae Hong Son resort which i have to say we were extremely impressed with, especially as they didn't hassle us for being in the Sauna and Pool after it closed :). After a lovely dinner we did a spot of washing and headed back to the room for a relativley early night and of course to charge our myriad of electrical devices and cameras and right a quick message to you lovely folks. Below are a few photos from todays adventures. Tomorrow we will be aiming to get as close to Chiang Rai as possible to start heading to the golden triangle and Laos.![The Kwaka's got a rest :)](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_s0_SjDDDWqTDVw_iioyxRNA3Z3Y_dVSqXAuiGkqv-aunPS9VkUGbDtkFINmr9QqXCtFg6tG1EdSS_dxos9Kk_9k6_1kC8virF8mXFvCvWxOcHe_anwcL-MtQ4=s0-d)
