Days 10 to 13 - We spent 5 nights in Luang Prabang which is the old Royal Capitol of Laos. A small city with some beautiful sights and even more beautiful people (As with all of Laos). Whilst we were there we visited a number of small temples as well as the Kuang Si Falls and alot of sightseeing around the town. A few nights we went to the night market in the main road but the first few days were getting Dave's bike working and getting the bikes cleaned and finally insured for our Laos adventure which was nearly over. We stayed at the Grand Luang Prabang which we would both highly recommend if you are happy to pay a little bit more than the regular $10 per night guesthouses and it is lovely 5 star accomodation overlooking the Mekong River. After having dinner and drinks with our new friend Chris from the UK, Chris decided to head off to Vang Vieng a day earlier than we did and after arriving in Vang Vieng he mentioned that the route he took was absolutely stunning and one of the most amazing sights he has ever seen. With the packing and getting ready to leave the next day we ended up missing Chris and finding out this wonderful route he took.
